Mindful Eating

Have you ever found yourself sitting in front of the TV when you suddenly realize that you have gobbled up an entire bag of chips? ..without even realizing it???

This unconscious behaviour causes us to overeat and disconnect from our bodies. When our minds and our bodies are in different places we operate on autopilot and live mindlessly out of habit. This is breeding grounds for the ego that short-circuits us in life.

When you eat…eat. Eat, taste, smell, chew, savour. Eat slowly and deliberately. Minimize distractions. Limit your talking. Breathe between bites. And when you take a bite, don’t think about your next bite. Be fully attentive to the present moment.

Eat like you are eating your last meal. Drink like you are drinking a glass of Cognac.

Life is short. Enjoy each moment to the fullest. Food is a gift so enjoy each bite to the fullest.
